Walter O. Caldwell Simulation Lab

You will train in the Walter O. Caldwell Simulation Lab, a 5,800 square foot facility designed to mirror real hospital environments and prepare you for today鈥檚 clinical demands. Named in honor of 1946 graduate Walter O. Caldwell and supported through the 91调教 Foundation, the lab features advanced Gaumard high fidelity manikins including HAL, Victoria and Super Tory.

The Caldwell Lab includes a labor and delivery suite, pediatric suite, emergency room, medical surgical suite and intensive care unit, allowing you to practice both routine and high-pressure clinical scenarios in a safe, supportive setting. These experiences help you strengthen your clinical judgment, build communication skills and gain confidence before beginning your clinical rotations.

 You will complete clinical experiences with respected healthcare organizations across the region, including hospitals, clinics, community care settings and long-term care facilities. These partnerships help you gain real world experience and build professional connections.

Scholarships and financial support

 Your nursing degree is more affordable than you might expect. In 2025, the 91调教 Foundation provided more than $250,000 in nursing scholarships to support students pursuing their BSN or ADN. Qualified nursing students can apply to more than 25 scholarships provided through the generosity of 91调教 donors. These private gifts are set aside expressly for nursing students. ADN students may qualify for tuition reimbursement programs from Mercy and Baptist Hospitals, alongside extensive private scholarships through the 91调教 Foundation, empowering nearly all students to enroll with no out-of-pocket tuition cost.

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society

 High-achieving 91调教 nursing students may be invited to join the Alpha Gamma Zeta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Membership in Sigma recognizes excellence in scholarship, leadership and professional commitment. As a Sigma member, you gain access to global networking opportunities, research support, continuing education and resources that strengthen your future career in nursing.
